Branding for NATALIS Boutique Confectionery
Natalis Confectionery specializes in handmade boutique desserts.
The confectionery believes in meticulous work to the smallest detail and produces luxurious and elegant desserts. These desserts are treated individually, in such a way that the business considers them importance of jewelry.
The origin of the name "Natalis" is Latin. Thus, for this business was chosen a graphic language and visual features, inspired by the world of fashion and desserts originating in Italy.
The guideline for the design process is an emphasis on minimalism and luxury.
The branding package includes logo design, business card and advertisements.
The logo design serves as the basis for the entire branding:
For its design, an elegant font was chosen in capital letters, which conveys luxury and corresponds with existing logos of luxury brands from the world of fashion and jewelry.
The stripes at the bottom hint the shape of Biscotti cookies, which are common in Italy in combination with many desserts. In addition, they resemble layers of cake in shape.
Above the letter "I" there is an illustrated mint leaf that serves as a kind of decoration, as chefs decorate desserts.
Selected brand colors:
- Brown / Caramel: Reminiscent of golden dough or caramel syrup.
- Black: A basic color which allows colorful uniformity and presence.
In order to create the branding language for designing the business card and the ads, a small rhombuses pattern was chosen to be incorporated into the graphic, inspired by patterns that appear on paper napkins served in restaurants.
The advertisements also convey luxury and elegance and have messages that appeal to a target audience that seeks a unique taste experience and visual richness, while paying particular attention to aesthetics and accuracy.
